"PROCESS" (ep) 1987

          This 1987 8-track recording by

Schuyler Hupp was planned as a

          preproduction for Mike Alvarez's

follow-up to his 1985 hit single

and video "The Night I Watched

          You Sleep".  When Roky Erickson

stepped in the studio to play lead

          guitar on Erickson's contribution

to Process, "Hungry For Your Love",

Alvarez released the ep on cassette

to little Austin fanfare, despite the

presence of at the time, an extremely

          reclusive Erickson. Cover art was

          created by "Eybeam" creator and

          comic strip master Sam Hurt

          Genre: "sock-o-delic".

          Mike Alvarez:  Guitars and vocals.

Roky Erickson:  Guitar solo on "Hungry For Your Love".

Schuyler Hupp:  Acoustic guitar solo on "Marcia Lo Aton".

         " 2324" (LP) 2006

          On April 23 and 24th of 2005,

Mike Alvarez set out to celebrate

his 35 years in the music business

by writing and recording a full-length,

10-song LP in two days, recording

          on a 20-year old Fostex 8-track

         1/4" reel-to-reel. Much of the

project was filmed in 3-D by film

         maker Tom Koester

         Alvarez says, "the project was

         tough, recorded on antiquated

equipment, but I think most of

         the songs stand for themselves

and hold their own.  My long-time

         friends and long-time music

         collaborators came together

for me resulting in a record

         I'm proud of."

         Special guests include Jonie Hell,

         Bruce Hughes, Matt Jansky,

         Suki Fujioka, Bill Dumas,

         John Lusitana, Bill Rehn,
